Should I Become A Graduate Virtual Assistant?

Do I really need training and coaching?

Making the decision to become a virtual assistant is not to be taken lightly.  Deciding to become a VA means that you are deciding to start your own business as an entrepreneur first of all and also that you are choosing virtual assistance as your niche. Unfortunately, many view this the same way that they would decide to open a lemonade stand, or take on a paper route.  Those ventures require a relatively easy-to-acquire skill-set, if any.

To become a virtual assistant, one should possess a strong skill-set as an administrative or executive assistant. as well as all of the attributes needed as an entrepreneur, small business owner and manager.  Failure to consider the requirements, is asking for disaster.

The desire to own your own business and nurture it to success should not be an afterthought, but rather the paramount reason for the venture.  When people start their own venture, they have a burning passion to share what they know best with the world.  Your passion should be to share your skill-set with those who can benefit most from your expertise as an administrative professional.

Virtual Assisting is not something to do because you don't want to go back to work from maternity leave or you were laid off from your job at the local factory.  It must be a burning desire to share your expertise with others who can appreciate you as a business owner and entrepreneur.

If you have the administrative skill-set and the passion to start your own business, but lack the "know how" to start a virtual assistant practice, A Virtual Assistant Training Program such as the one that we offer here at VAU can be very helpful.

One can find a myriad assortment of coaches and marketing experts, but I submit to you, that our industry is unique and requires a unique approach.   As you research the VA industry more in detail, you will reach the same conclusion.  GVAs serve a global marketplace, but do not seek to bombard that marketplace with incessant fax blasts, mail-outs and cold calls to find clients.  Successful VAs extend long term partnering opportunities to small business owners and professionals so that both may achieve mutual goals.

VAU is not the solution for all.  It is the solution for those who are challenged by  the experiences of starting and owning businesses.  VAU offers the unique opportunity to work with successful VA industry thought leaders who have experience and knowledge in the Virtual Assistance arena.

We understand the concept that VAs are experts on loan to a select marketplace of people seeking our level of expertise. VAU deals with strategic goal setting that attracts your ideal client to you without the worn out techniques of yesterday.  We are a leading edge coaching and training practice that knows the best practices and sets the standard.  There's no secret to it, nothing wicked about it that has to be conjured up.  It's plain and simple.  Achieving greatness requires working smart from the very beginning.

Our GVAs™ have completed business and marketing plans, created the appropriate collateral materials.  They have Identified their ideal clients and are about the business of attracting them into partnering relationships.  Above all, they have been coached and encouraged, to never give up their passion for owning their own businesses or sharing their gifts and talents with others.  GVAs plan their work and work that plan.

Consider the attributes listed on the right and if you aspire to possess them, perhaps VAU is the place for you.  We'd love to be a part of your plan for success.

""The training program was challenging and exciting. The surprise for me was how much of “me” came out during the process. This is my first time/attempt at being an entrepreneur and through much of additional business research and the reading assignment, I learned to understand various business components. This training is the absolute best, top-notch training I have ever completed in my life." More
